Argumentative Essay

Women Should Keep Their Job After First Delivery

Do you think women should quit their job after first delivery? I am definitely against the statement where women should quit their jobs after first delivery. It is because of the family financial status, capability of a woman and career effects.
A woman who quit their job after first delivery will affect the family financial status. It will cause lack of financial resources, therefore the family could not give full support to the baby's welfare. In the year 2005, the research from UTP stated that almost 80% of both parents need to work in order to cover up all the housing and children expenses.
In this modern world, women are capable of being a successful mother and career woman at the same time. Back in the olden times, woman is encouraged to stay at home and managed all the housework. However, women in these days are good enough to handle both house management and their job. There are a lot of examples of successful woman these days such as Rachael Ray who is a host for a television show, a chef and a mother. One more a famous example is Heidi Klum who is a supermodel, a host for a television show and of course, a mother.
Every woman dreams of having a career apart from having a full time role as a mother in a family. If they quit their job after the delivery, it might cause great effects. One of the effects is depression due to failure of achieving their dreams and might lead to broken relationship between she and her husband. Almost 7 out of 10 working woman admit that they feel contented to have a fix career and be a successful mother at the same time.
From all of the above reasons, it is undeniable to the disagreement of the statement where women should quit their job after their first delivery because of family financial status, capability of a woman and career effects. Therefore, it is right for me to defend my stand and I hope all of the working mother's out there will continue achieving their career as long as they are capable enough to manage both them.
