Love Among UTP Students

       A research was conducted on 6th March 2013 at 9.30 pm in Lecture Room 10 Block N, during English 1 tutorial slot. This research was conducted by giving questions to all the respondents. There were 25 students altogether, 11 females and 14 males including three foreign students. All of them are at least 17 years old. They are from various races and they are taking different courses which are Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Petroleum Geoscience, Information Communication Technology and Business Information System. The questions that have been asked were : Do you have any crush/crushes in UTP? How many of them and from what course is he/she? After the research, there are 64% of them are confirmed to have crushes in UTP. The number of students who have only one crush is 9 students. Also, from the research their crushes are mostly from Chemical Engineering course. From my observation, the reason why they are attracted to someone is because of his or her appearance. Secondly, it is because they share the same interests, they can talk comfortably and of course because he or she have a good heart. Sometimes, having a crush is a good thing when they can meet and study together. This also will encourage the students to build a good social life.
