The Death of Playing Scrabble

Would you play a scrabble game even tough you are forced to?From the Short Story Death By Scrabble written by Charlie Fish, the man or the husband died due to the game of Scrabble played by him and his wife on Sunday morning. The following paragraphs show the three causes and three effects of his failure to avoid playing Scrabble with his wife.

There are 3 causes due to his failure to avoid playing Scrabble with his wife. His cowardness of objecting or refusing to play the game is clearly showned in this short story. Even tough he hates her so much, he never tells his wife about it and do not dare to refuse her wife's will of playing Scrabble.Besides that, we can assume that his wife is a queen control since the husband just follow what his wife asked him to do even he does not like it. The most significant causes could be seen due to his failure to avoid playing scrabble is that, in the end of the game, he choked the B tile in his mouth and died.

These are the three effects due to his failure of avoiding to play scrabble. Firstly, his intention of killing his wife has turned back against him. Ironically, he tried so much to end his wife's life but in the end, karma hits him back and he's the one who got killed in the end of the story. Secondly, all the words he played just get real and the game is said to be jinxed since the bad things keep happening when he was playing scrabble. The effect due to his failure of playing scrabble is his failure in marriage. While playing scrabble, he gets even angrier towards his wife and he even wish for the death of his own wife.

To summarize up everything, we can conclude that you cannot secretly hate on somebody with no particular reason at all and have the intention of harming them. Being honest or letting out the truth is far better rather than wishing for something bad to happen to the person you hate because 'what goes around, will comes around'.
